New Delhi: In what comes as the latest development in the political tussele taking place in Maha is the resignation of CM Uddhav Thackeray. The resignation came shortly after the SC refused to stay the State Governor’s decision which was challenegd by Shiv Sena Chief whip Sunil Prabhu. Thackeray subsequently resigned from the Maharashtra Legistlative Council.

” We are not staying tommorrow;s floor test, the apex court said after hearing both the sides. The top court also issued a notice on Shiv Sena Chief Whip Sunil’s plea and said that the test tommorrow will be subject to the outcome of the present petition. The bench decided to hear the plea on July 11th.

The Vacation bench of Justice Surya Kant and JB Pardiwala also allowed jailed NCP leaders Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmuk to participate in the floor test to be held on June 30th.
