Raipur: Police has exposed the theft of lakhs in an English liquor shop located at Tatibandh in Raipur. The former security guard of the liquor shop turned out to be the accused of theft. Police have arrested Kaleshwar Prasad Sahu, who carried out the theft incident on the intervening night of December 7th in the English liquor shop located at Tatibandh Hirapur under the police station Amanaka. Police said that a bottle of expensive brand English liquor was stolen from the liquor shop along with the cash amount of the sale of liquor kept in the locker.
In order to hide his identity, he had also taken the DVR of the CCTV camera installed in the liquor shop. In the past too, he has been detained in jail in cases of theft. After committing the crime, he fled to his home village Tekar district Bilaspur. The police have seized the stolen cash amount of Rs 2.7 lakh and a bottle of Chivas Regal liquor from the possession of the accused. The police have filed a complaint against the accused in the police station Amanaka for the crime number 353/21 section 457, 380 Bhadvi. Sawan Kumar Yadav had lodged a report in the police station Amanaka that he is working as a supervisor in charge of the Liquor Shop.
After calculating the sale amount of liquor on December 7th, keeping the total amount in the cupboard of the shop he went home after locking the shutter of the shop. When he came to open the shop the next day, he saw that the lock of the shutter of the shop was broken and the shutter was raised two feet above the ground. He went inside the shop and saw that the lock of the cupboard was broken. The cash kept inside, along with a bottle of Chivas Regal liquor was stolen. In the proceedings, Inspector Yakub Memon police station in-charge Amanaka, from cyber cell P.R. Martand Singh, Jaswant Soni, Nohar Deshmukh, Vijay Patel and PR from Thana Amanaka. Sanjay Singh and R. Sachit Sharma played an important role to bust the accused.
