Bilaspur: Junior Engineer Priya Amal and her husband Tikesh Yadav, who has been suspended in the case of misappropriation of bills of about Rs 24 lakh at Masturi Electricity Distribution Center in Bilaspur, have been reinstated. Both the accused have also been reinstated at the same place. Earlier, the departmental officers had held other employees lodged an FIR against them. In such a situation, questions have also been raised on the functioning of the officers.
In the year 2020, departmental officers suspended JE Priya Amal and her husband Tikesh Yadav after irregularities came to light in the preliminary investigation. Along with this, an FIR was also lodged at Masturi police station alleging that there was a scam of Rs 24 lakh in the investigation. Right now the police are still probing the matter. Along with this, the departmental inquiry is also going on.
After the electricity bill scam came to light, the officials investigated. The statements of the consumers were also taken during the investigation. After investigation, a case was registered against Junior Engineer Priya Amle, Meter Reader Hemant Patel, Anil Singh Chandel, Omprakash Rathore involved in this scam. With this, an FIR has been lodged against Vyas Rathore, Dharmendra Pandu, Chandramani Rathore, Purushottam Yadav, Rajkumar Rathore, Paleshwar Sahu, Line Assistant Manoj Sahu and computer operator Kishan Yadav at Masturi police station, whose investigation is still pending.
