Spider-Man: Brand New Day has continued the sensational pace in India with its film having crossed the Rs 250 crore India nett box office mark and is currently the top leader globally. It has become one of the biggest releases in the Indian film industry with its outstanding opening weekend performance, powered by Marvel-Sony.

The superhero film has grossed an estimated Rs 76 crore across 18,051 screens in India on Sunday, says trade tracker Sacnilk. The India gross is currently on Rs 306.37 crore and the India nett collection is a whopping Rs 256.20 crore after merely three days in theatres.

While Hindi dubbed version is proving to be a hit, the English has emerged as the largest performing language in the film, even if Hindi dominated multiplex chains in bigger municipalities. The film has been doing rotor high weekends from the first thing it was introduced and from its first successful weekend, word of mouth has been good.This is because that the film has enjoyed high audience response and good word of mouth since its first release.

According to trade analysts, the film will maintain its stellar grossing on Monday and is likely to generate one of the largest first-Monday figures for a Hollywood movie in India. It’s anticipated its weekly collections will continue to increase due to lack of any major release to compete with it on weekdays.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has also enjoyed one of the biggest international openings in box-office history outside of India. The film has already seen outstanding box office performances in major overseas markets, continuing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s beloved story of the Spider-Man.

The movie is off to a flying start and looks set to be one of the top grossing movies of the year in Hollywood.
