The much-awaited adventure comedy sequel of Dhamaal, finally arrived in the theatres on Friday. While the audiences had high expectations from the latest instalment of the Dhamaal series, the initial responses have been mixed, and the viewers have been praising the comedy and performances, but criticizing the VFX, the writing, and the use of AI-generated shots.

A section of social media users on X shared their reactions after watching the film, and many described Dhamaal 4 as a laugh riot and entertaining family watch. Several others criticized its weak screenplay and sloppy second half. The first half appears to be impressive to most of the viewers. However, the film continues to lose momentum after the interval.

A user praised the film and wrote, “A complete family entertainment rollercoaster ride, paisa vasool, Dhamaal 4.” While another tweeted, “Non-stop laughter, the ultimate king of Bollywood slapstick is back, and it arrived with the force of thunderbolt. Dhamaal 4 is masterfully executed revival of beloved comedy legacy that proudly returns to its roots.” Another reviewer wrote, “Entertainment galore at Dhamaal 4. Ajay Devgn, as always, leads the show, especially the Ram-Ram sequence recreated commission. Ritesh Deshmukh gets many hilarious scenes and an endearing scene at the end. Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey’s Aadi and Manav rock. The remaining star cast lends good support to this Indra Kumar directorial. Calling it better than Total Dhamaal and Son of Sardar 2.

Helmed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 is produced under T-series, Panorama Studios, Devgan Films, Maruti International, and Manal Pandit Motion Pictures. This is the fourth instalment of the Dhamaal franchise and serves direct sequel to Total Dhamaal. And the ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Omera Nimai, Anjali Anand, Sanjida Sheikh, Isha Gupta, and Vijay Patkar complete give a full packed entertainer. Dhamaal 4 simply hits the reset button. Once again, it’s about a treasure hunt.

Earlier it was “W Ke neeche”, this time it is “N Ke neeche”. That’s the extent of innovation. Writer Paritosh painter practically photocopies the first film’s basic storyline. The first half is an exhausting exercise in making noise for comedy. New characters keep popping up, subplots are thrown in without purpose. Dhamaal 4 operates on the belief that if enough people shout, fall over, pull faces and hurl insults at one another, laughter is bound to follow. Much like its story, the music of Dhamaal 4 is also recycled. Sanju Rathore’s Gulabi Sari and Gilori Bina Chutneys are the only two songs on offer, making the soundtrack feel fresh.
