In a nearly fatal incident on Friday, a Bilaspur-bound flight from Delhi suffered a tyre burst while landing at the Chhattisgarh airport. No passenger was harmed during the landing, said officials.
The flight 91613 operated by Alliance Air was carrying nearly 37 passengers and four crew members when the incident took place at landing around 11 a.m, the official said.
As per the official, the left tyre suffered a puncture while it landed. All the passengers and crew members were safely evacuated and brought from the runway to the terminal building following the incident.
The airline subsequently cancelled the flight, which was scheduled to operate from Bilaspur further ahead. Details about the incident are further awaited.
