New Delhi: Online satirical party CJP on Wednesday announced to have appointed 3 spokesperson ahead of its protest on June 6. The trio are handed over the responsibility to interact with the media during the protests.
Investigative journalist Saurav Das will serve as Chief Spokesperson. Political researcher, author and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya, and Ashutosh Ranka, will also take on the role of Spokespersons along with Das,” read the announcement on the official X handle of the party. The party commits to changing India’s political discourse, to be led by a new generation.
It is worth noting that Saurav Das was amongst those who led the November 2025 anti-pollution protests at the India Gate.
All the three are experts in their own fields. Das will spearhead accountability driven messages while Dahiya is charged to engage with the civil society. Ranka is roped in to spread the message among youth and tech professionals.
Meanwhile, Education reform activist and Ramon Magsaysay Award winner Sonam Wangchuk has announced to join the protest organized by the new outfit. Taking to social media, Wangchuk confirming his participation wrote, that he would join the demonstration if no action was taken by June 5, arguing that public officials must accept responsibility when large-scale failures impact millions of young people.
The participation of Sonam Wangchuk has significantly raised the profile of what was initially an internet-led youth movement. The Cockroach Janata Party announced his involvement through social media, describing the June 6 gathering as a peaceful demonstration seeking accountability in the education sector.
The government at the Centre is in a fix as to how to deal with Dipke, who has been gaining heavy attention since the party was launched. If it orders a crackdown, the youth will revolt leading a massive boost to the party and if chooses a soft path it will be seen as a sign of weakness. It remains to see how the government will handle this party. Either way the government has to fight this battle with utmost peace.
