Indore. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is taking a tough stand on the water crisis that has deepened during the summer in Indore, the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister has issued strict instructions to top officials to ensure adequate drinking water supply to the people of Indore. The Chief Minister has stated categorically that negligence in water distribution will not be tolerated and that officials at every level will be held accountable.
A ‘special water supply scheme’ will be made for the crisis-hit wards.
The Chief Minister has directed that special water supply schemes be immediately implemented in the wards of Indore facing severe water shortages. Relief should be provided to the affected areas on a priority basis. Additionally, any inequities and discrepancies in tap water supply timings should be immediately addressed to ensure balanced water distribution in all areas.
Tankers will be monitored minute-to-minute
The Chief Minister has ordered officials to ensure a transparent and streamlined water distribution system. Drinking water distribution will be reviewed daily, morning and evening, through a 24×7 Water Control Room. To prevent water black marketing, all private and municipal water tankers will be monitored minute-by-minute. Ensure all water tanks in the city are used to their full capacity.
