New Delhi: CBSE issues notice in response to a fake circular claiming the board has cancelled the re-evaluation and photocopy process due to ‘unprecedented technical challenges being faced’.
Rebuking the claims, the officials took to X to alert students, asking them to rely only on official website for details pertaining to CBSE exams.
“A fake information is being circulated claiming that the process of obtaining photocopies of answer books and revaluation has been cancelled by the Board,” the official tweet reads.

The false notice apparently claims the board has cancelled the process of obtaining answer scripts and re-evalutaion in view of technical glitches students are facing. “The decision has been taken after careful consideration due to unforeseen technical difficulties in the online system which could not be resolved despite best efforts. Continuing with the process in its current state may lead to unfairness and inconsistencies in the evaluation,” the notice stated
The viral document also mentioned about the refund for the fees collected for photocopy and re-evaluation. It stated that the respective account would refund within 15 working days. It further added that students should not worry as their ‘original marks will be treated as final’.
On May 22, CBSE had officially extended the last date for applying for scanned copies of Class 12 answer books from May 23 to May 24, citing “unprecedented traffic” and attempts of “unauthorised interference” on the website.
The board had also stated earlier that the portal was functioning normally again after temporary disruptions.
Lately, CBSE has been facing backlash from the students and educators for its inability to facilitate smooth access to answer scripts and sufficient evidence to support their recently introduced marking system.
