The Embassy of India in Russia confirmed the death of Indian worker among the four bodies of Indians killed by Ukraine in one of its drone attacks on Russia on Sunday.

One Indian got killed and three were injured in the night drone attack on Moscow region, the embassy said. The names of the deceased and injured workers are yet to be officially released, officials added.

In an online post, the Indian Embassy notes that its officials have also made a special trip to the site of the attack where they were also accompanied by the medical staff who are providing treatment to injured works at the hospital. It also expressed condolences and also state that it is working closely with the local authorities and company management to make sure support is provided as required to those affected.

The larger strike has killed at least four people and injured several according to the Russian government. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the strikes as being “entirely justified.”

The attack by drones was among the largest of recent months, hitting several sites in Russia. Some of the drones fell near the main airport in Moscow, causing more chaos, reports said.

In the Moscow region, three people died, two men in a village in the region north of Moscow and a woman in Khimki, where her house was hit by debris, local officials said. There had also been another death, “near the Ukraine border” in the Belgorod region.

The incident follows constant border incursions by Russia and Ukraine, both sides having stepped up the number of their air attacks in recent weeks as the conflict continues with no immediate sign of a truce.
