In the evening, the court ordered both accused to be remanded to CBI custody for 10 days.

Manisha Waghmare and Prahlad Kulkarni, accused in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case, are taken from Rouse Avenue Court. The court has sent them to 10 days of CBI custody in the NEET UG exam paper leak case.

In a major action in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case, the CBI arrested two accused, including the mastermind. The investigating agency produced both of them in court on Saturday, where the court sent both the accused, including the mastermind, to CBI custody for 10 days. This order was given by the court of CBI Special Judge Ajay Gupta. According to information, Chemistry teacher PV Kulkarni is believed to be the mastermind of the NEET paper leak scandal. The CBI arrested him and his associate Manisha Waghmare from Pune.

The CBI argued that PV Kulkarni, a chemistry professor by profession, was the main conspirator in the case. During the hearing, the CBI told the court that Manisha Waghmare, Dhananjay Lokhande, PV Kulkarni, and Manisha Mandhre were in contact with each other and were involved in the paper leak conspiracy. The central investigating agency sought custody of the accused, stating that they would need to be taken to other parts of the country as part of the investigation, requiring longer custody.

The lawyer representing Manisha Waghmare opposed the CBI’s demand for custody, stating that his client was being held illegally. He claimed that the Pune police held Manisha in their custody for more than 24 hours.
