Akshay Kumar has been left shocked by the large number of people who attended the promotional event of his new movie Bhooth Bangla in Greater Noida West. As part of the old-school promotional tour of the film the actor, together with the co-stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal Yadav, visited a large mall in the Delhi-NCR area, which was attended by thousands of fans, who came to see the stars.

The videos, covering the event, easily spread on social media, and demonstrated huge masses of people crowding all floors of the mall. The fans were observed crowding the atrium, lining the balconies and even standing on the escalator railings taking a risk to have a clearer view. The performers were communicating with the crowd on a temporary stage on the ground floor, and the applause was heard all over the place.

Addressing the audience, Akshay noted that he had never seen such a large number of people in a mall in his thirty-plus years in the movie business. His response was both astonishment and admiration of the excitement of the fans.

Nonetheless, the incident also generated a buzz online in terms of crowd control and safety of people. Some users condemned the civic irresponsibility as they cited dangerous behaviour, destruction of mall property, such as broken standees and installations.

Although the promotional event showcased the enormous popularity of Akshay Kumar, it also brought relevant issues of safety protocols and responsible fans behaviour at large-scale events.
