IndiGo has also declared a significant network extension out of the Navi Mumbai international Airport which will involve over 30 new routes between March 29 and April 23. The relocation will benefit the area in terms of strengthening the area connectivity and availing the traveller with feasible flight choices within India.

Some of the destinations that the new routes will connect with include Agra, Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Belgaum, Chandigarh, Diu, Kannur, Kolkata, Patna, Rajkot, Srinagar, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam, and many more. IndiGo will carry out over 400 weekly flights between Navi Mumbai with this growth which will play a critical role in boosting the number of passengers visiting the airport and enhancing connectivity of the airport as a whole.

Along with the new routes, IndiGo has begun direct flights twice a day between Bhavnagar and Navi Mumbai using its ATR planes to guarantee get to the destination in a comfortable and reliable way. The airline has also started direct flights to Jamnagar earlier this month as another move to consolidate its presence in Gujarat.

These additions will ensure that IndiGo is operational in six cities of Gujarat that include Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar, and will offer over 1,400 weekly flights to and from the industrialised state. The airline says that these new services are included in its wider coverage of expansion of its domestic network, business and economic travelling and give greater convenience to the passengers.

The expansion of the network of IndiGo at the Navi Mumbai airport will have repercussions on both leisure and business travelers, as well as on regional travellers since they can now access destinations that were previously unserved and the growth in air traffic within the region is upheld. The airline pointed out that the new flights will enhance connectivity of both metro and regional passengers, which will be enhancing Navi Mumbai as a major aviation hub.
