The final four are at stake with India and the West Indies gearing up to have a virtual knockout battle, which will be full of drama and explosive cricketing. On the one hand, there is India, which is, perhaps, the most stable T20 team of the last two years. On the latter side is a West Indies side that has revamped the format with disrespectful power-hitting, but is erratic and can shine as well as fumble.

The last time they had a big T20 against each other was a decade ago at Wankhede when West Indies had to chase a target of 192 to annihilate the Indian hopes. This Indian outfit is much older and more maneuvered. Interestingly, the two teams have also taken a similar course through the tournament, with both having started off with severely defeating South Africa and then trouncing Zimbabwe on the next day; thus, this match is just a finely-balanced one on paper.

India entered the match with a newfound confidence in its batting as it made its highest score in the tournament of 256 against Zimbabwe. Their model of aggressive beginnings, imaginative medium overs, and brutal endings worked well. But giving 184 in response showed a crevice or two in their bowling performance, which they cannot afford in a much more devastating Caribbean attack.

The strength of the West Indies is in crude force. Their approach to the bat with hitters such as Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, and the calm and collected Shai Hope can tear apart any assault.

It is precision versus power, the organized consistency of India as compared to the bombastic flair of the West Indies, in what will be an exciting T20 clash.
