The historic Dhar Bhojshala case of Madhya Pradesh has been adjourned once more with the next hearing being postponed to February 18. The hearing, during which the ASI survey report was to be tabled on the orders of the Supreme Court was not possible today because of a strike by lawyers amidst the Shivpuri murder case.
The ASI report containing evidence like digital photography, documents and any other survey-related material was to be presented in the district court this day. But this process has been postponed by the adjournment. The Muslim side has already questioned the survey, and it has accused the introduction of stone idols into the compound using back doors and subsequently including them in the report of the ASI survey.
Conversely, the Hindu side has insisted that the Bhojshala access be 24 hours of worship and all Namaz prayers be completely prohibited within the facility. Both parties are keenly following the events that are bound to occur on February 18, as the next hearing may determine the manner in which the controversial site will be handled.
The case is very delicate because it involves matters of religious faith and historical claims. According to the representatives of the legal community, the issue has to be approached with great regard to historical facts, poll data, and constitutional rights, which makes the process complicated and monitored throughout the region. As the next hearing is upon us, the court and all parties involved are being looked at by the whole world, and people are hoping that they will find a solution that will not only consider the religious feeling,s but there will be into account the legal and historical cases.
This dismissal is another step in a case that still keeps the country on its toes, owing to cultural, historical and religious concern.
