A couple was found dead with gunshot wounds inside a parked car in Noida on Saturday, February 14, police said. The incident came to light near pillar number 84 on Dadri Road in Sector 107, under the jurisdiction of the Sector-39 police station.
According to officials, police rushed to the spot after receiving information about a suspicious vehicle and found the couple unresponsive inside the locked car. Both had sustained gunshot injuries to the head. A pistol was recovered from the man’s possession at the scene.
The deceased have been identified as a man from Trilokpuri in Delhi and a woman from Salarpur in Noida’s Sector 101. Their families have been informed, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause and sequence of events.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the case may be a murder-suicide. Police sources indicated that initial findings point to the possibility that the man allegedly shot the woman before turning the weapon on himself. Forensic experts and senior officers inspected the scene and are examining ballistic and other technical evidence.
Investigators also recovered a purported note from the vehicle. According to police sources, the note mentioned that the two had been in a relationship for several years and referenced personal issues. Authorities, however, said the contents of the note are being verified as part of the ongoing investigation.
Further inquiry is underway to establish all facts surrounding the incident.
