The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) chief Sharad Pawar is not in good health, but after receiving care in cases of congestion in the chest, is in sound health, according to senior cardiologist Doctor Purvez Grant on Saturday. Dr. Grant, Chief Cardiologist of the clinic, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic affirmed that Pawar will leave the hospital.

The doctor says that the veteran leader has reacted to treatment in a good manner and does not need any additional intensive medical support. “Mr. Pawar is healthy and has been well recovered. He will be discharged today. The medical staff has recommended that he should rest properly during a few days after which he can slowly resume to his normal routine of work and social life, Dr. Grant said.

Sharad Pawar, a patient, was admitted into Ruby Hall Clinic on February 9, because of the onset of chest congestion. His daughter and Member of Parliament Supriya Sule had previously informed the masses that he would require a five day course of antibiotics. She also had to inform supporters that everything in his vital parameters was normal and wished well-wishers and the medical staff their support and care.

An update was also given by the party leader Rohit Pawar, who said that the elderly politician was stable and had not been taken to the Intensive Care Unit earlier in the week. He was not in a common room and did not need any support of a doctor. An opinion on whether Pawar should stay in Pune or go to Mumbai was to be made on an examination of his medical reports.
