New Delhi: Sources indicate that the census process could begin in April 2026 in the NDMC and Delhi Cantonment areas, while in the MCD area it will begin in May 2026. The census is a national program conducted every 10 years, covering every citizen in every part of the country. It not only collects population data but also helps the government in policymaking, development planning, and resource allocation.

To ensure a successful census, 17 master trainers are being trained in Delhi. These trainers will receive four days of specialized training to properly train census collectors and answer questions.

In Delhi, the census is expected to begin in the NDMC and Delhi Cantonment areas in April 2026. The process is expected to begin in the MCD area in May 2026. The central government is conducting the census nationwide, and preparations will be completed in Delhi within the next three months.

To ensure a successful census, 17 officials from various districts of Delhi are being trained as master trainers. These master trainers include teachers, lecturers, tehsildars, and technical officers. The training programs will be held from February 11th to 13th and February 16th. Census officials will be trained and their doubts will be addressed.

According to sources, after the training, master trainers will train the staff in each district who will directly conduct the census. The training will address staff questions so they don’t face any difficulties during the census. The census will begin in each district only after their training is complete.
