MP Weather Report: After November, cold has broken records in Madhya Pradesh in December as well. The eastern part of Madhya Pradesh has shivered under the cold for the first time this season. The mercury in the state has dropped below 2 degrees. Kalyanpur in Shahdol recorded a temperature of 1.7 degrees. This cold wave will continue.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of winter has increased in MP due to snowfall in the hill states and the activation of Western Disturbance. Apart from dense fog, there is also cold wave, cold day and severe cold. Due to this, the night temperature in many cities is going below 5 degrees. Kalyanpur of Shahdol was the coldest on Monday-Tuesday night. The mercury was recorded at 1.7 degrees here. 3 degrees in Naugaon of Chhatarpur, 3.1 degrees in Umaria, 4.4 degrees in Khajuraho, 4.6 degrees in Rajgarh, 4.8 degrees in Pachmarhi, 5 degrees in Rewa and Mandla were recorded.

Temperatures remained below 10 degrees Celsius in nearly 30 cities across the state. Temperatures were recorded at 5.2 degrees Celsius in Satna, 5.7 degrees Celsius in Datia, 5.8 degrees Celsius in Malajkhand, 5.6 degrees Celsius in Bhopal, 6.6 degrees Celsius in Indore and Gwalior, 7 degrees Celsius in Jabalpur, and 9.2 degrees Celsius in Ujjain.
