Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday dubbed 2026 as the year of technological transformation of the state and said that Uttar Pradesh was gradually establishing itself as the center of artificial intelligence and digital economy in the world. In an elaborate letter on the social media site X under the Hindi language, Adityanath stated that 2025 will be marked in history as a historic year which will set new milestones in innovation, data-driven growth, and future-ready development.
The chief minister pointed out that sustainable investment will only thrive in a safe and stable environment. He claimed that good governance and enhanced law and order has largely boosted the Brands UP of the state in the international platform where the state has turned into a safe and appealing business partner.
Major infrastructure projects Adityanath mentioned that plans are being made to create special AI cities in Lucknow and Noida. He further indicated that a semiconductor fabrication facility with a value of 3,700 crore is being set up in Jewar which is a significant move in enhancing the Indian electronic and chip fabrication industry.
The chief minister indicated that the data centre policy of Uttar Pradesh giving priority to native infrastructure and protection of data is already bearing practical fruits. Currently, there are 5 park data centres, which are hyperscale and may be used commercially. He has added that the state government has made a target of enticing investments of 30,000 crore in the data centre industry.
Adityanath also added that the state has developed software technology parks in nine cities and this has increased the scope of IT professionals and startups beyond the big cities. He also emphasized the fast development in the new industries like drone technology, robotics, and mobile manufacturing.
Turning to the topic of the human resource development, the chief minister remarked that more than 10 lakh citizens are being trained with the help of the program named AI Pragya in artificial intelligence.
