“On the occasion of the annual fair at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, in remembrance of the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, Baba Fateh Singh Ji—the younger sons of the Tenth Master, the blessed Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji—and Mata Gujar Kaur Ji, today I was fortunate to bow my head in reverence along with my family. I touched my forehead to the Guru’s feet and had the blessed darshan of the Nanak Naam Leva Sangat. The example of the martyrdom of these young sons for the sake of the nation is nowhere to be found in the history of the world. Their steadfast resolve and spirit will continue to inspire our coming generations forever’, wrote CM Mann on X.
Regarding the theft of the sacred copy of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that it is not a topic for discussion today, but rather a matter of controversy. He also spoke highly of the “Veer Bal Diwas” initiative, stating that this itself reveals the BJP’s intentions. Akali Dal leaders had previously opposed the initiative; their tweets are still available. The martyrdom of the Sahibzadas is so significant that they cannot be called “children.” The Chief Minister was also honored during the event.
