US in its sixth nightly attack on Iran targetted civilian infrastructures in the south injuring 9 and killing 7.Officials in southern Iran’s Bandar Abbas report that civilian infrastructure, including power facilities and a train station, were hit. The US CENTCOM confirmed the strikes saying ,”US forces, including fighter jets, aerial drones, and warships, launched precision munitions that hit dozens of Iranian military targets such as coastal surveillance and air defense sites, military logistics infrastructure, and maritime capabilities.”
Iran in retaliation targeted US aircraft at a military base in Bahrain, while air raid sirens were sounded in Kuwait as Iranian drones and missiles were intercepted. According to a statement carried by the local news agency, the military said, “Relying on history, popular support, experience, and combat readiness, we stand with vigilance and authority against any pressure or threat.
Qatar authorities reported an injured, a child who was hurt by the debris of the intercepted missiles.”Based on received reports and field findings, the Ministry confirms that one child was injured by falling shrapnel resulting from the interception operations; the child is currently receiving the necessary medical care,” said Qatar interior ministry.
Nearly five bridges in southern Hormozgan province. were hit by the US, local authorities said. The bridges included Gariveh Bridge connecting Bandar Abbas to Khmeir and Lar, a bridge near the village of LatidanTwo bridges on the Kahoorestan–Lar route, another partially constructed bridge connecting Bandar e Khamir, Keshar and Bandar Abbas, and a bridge in the village of Maru, Khmeir district.
The governorate has advised people to avoid taking these routes for travel.
Besides, the Chabahar maritime control tower was attacked for the third time in a row over the past week.
