Donald Trump has come on social media to warn his followers that he is fine after a recent assassination attempt. To reassure the public, the former president revealed he was fine after the Secret Service and the FBI prevented what the latter described as a credible assassination attempt when the man was playing golf at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The first news told about the fact that several Secret Service agents used their firearms in the confrontation with the gunman, Ryan Routh, who was found in the vicinity of the golf course hiding in bushes. Routh stands for Ukraine quite actively and said he belongs to the Democratic Party. However, he donated to Tulsi Gabbard for the presidency in 2020, who changed her party from Democrat to one supporting Trump.
In a detailed post on Truth Social, Trump reassured his followers, stating, “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: He posted a statement I AM SAFE AND WELL! Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER!” He also extended his appreciation to the US Secret Service and the local police support, particularly to Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.
After that incident, Trump went back to his private club in Palm Beach, which was known as Mar-a-Lago. Some of the dailies indicate that the move could alter his calendar of campaign activities. However, Trump is expected to deliver a speech concerning cryptocurrency on Monday night from Florida on the social media platform X. He will also have a rally in Michigan and Long Island, New York, on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
An email circulated among Trump’s campaign team and received by the Associated Media House stated that he has received intelligence information that he should be extra cautious in his movements because of the recent events, in other aspects implying that there is a need for enhanced security to a person like Trump given that he is an ex-president.
