Washington: Israels military has been place under high amidst preparations for renewed hostilities with Iran. As per local sources, preparations follow intensive discussions between US President and Israeli PM Netanyahu. The renewed attack preps come against the backdrop of failed negotiations in Islamabad coercing both the nations to plan renewed strikes.
Diplomatic activity intensified as global powers attempted to prevent the conflict from widening further. US President Donald Trump said he and Chinese President Xi Jinping shared similar views on Iran and both wanted the Strait of Hormuz reopened.
‘End siege before Sea of Oman becomes your graveyard’ – Iran’s stern warning over US naval blockade, Mohsen Rezaei, a member of Iran’s Expediency Council and former IRGC commander, warned the United States to end its blockade of Iranian ports, saying the Iranian military was prepared for further confrontation.
Speaking on Iranian state television, Rezaei said, “We advise the US military to end the siege before the Sea of Oman becomes your graveyard.” He described the US naval blockade as an “act of war” and said Tehran had the right to respond.
“The longer they prolong the naval blockade of Iran, the greater the damage to countries around the world will be,” he added.
Earlier on Sunday, US President shared a series of posts on Truth Social many featuring Al-generated images depicting aliens, missile strikes and outer space warfare amid the ongoing Middle East tensions. One such image showed a map of the Middle East with arrows directed towards Iran. Another post that garnered attention was -For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.”
Meanwhile, Iran has announced it will soon put forward a new plan to regulate maritime traffic and impose shipping tolls in the Strait of Hormuz. Any disruption there could send palpitations through international energy markets already rattled by the war.
The US has reportedly presented a set of demands to resume stalled peace talks with Iran. These include Iran handing over 400 kg of enriched uranium, limiting its nuclear programme to a single facility, not receiving war reparations, and restricting access to frozen assets.
These demands came after Tehran submitted its peace proposal which was ‘garbage’, according to Trump. Iranian media said the US is seeking concessions it failed to secure during the war.
