Actor Sara Arjun, who turned 21 on June 18, has spoken about her long-standing connection with Sadhguru’s Isha Home School, describing the institution as her “second home” and crediting it with shaping her outlook on life. Sara, an alumna of the Coimbatore-based school, shared her thoughts during a visit to the Isha Yoga Centre for the Maha Shivratri celebrations earlier this year.
Speaking about her return to the campus, the actror said she was delighted to revisit a place that played an important role during her formative years. “I’m an alumna of the home school. I just love the place. I’m very happy to be back for Maha Shivratri. I celebrated it consecutively when I was a student, and then as soon as I got the chance to come back, I came running back here,” she said.
Sara said the time she spent at Isha Home School helped her develop important qualities and offered her a broader perspective on life. “I think a lot of very important lessons and qualities I have gained are because of Isha. I value everything a lot more because of the time I spent here. Isha has given me a lot of perspective,” she said.
The actor further added that returning to the institution felt familiar and comforting. “Being back feels the same. It feels like a second home to me. Boarding schools always feel like that,” she said.
When asked about her future plans, Sara said she prefers to take things as they come rather than charting out a fixed path. “I’m just on the receiving end. Whatever happens will happen. I’m trying not to plan anything. It’s all going great. I’m very happy, very blessed,” she said.
Sara was among several film personalities who participated in the Maha Shivratri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Centre. Actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Srinidhi Shetty and Mouni Roy were also present at the event.
In a video shared during the celebrations, Sara expressed gratitude for being part of the occasion and praised the performances held through the night. “A very happy Maha Shivratri to all of you. I am having the most beautiful time. I can’t really express how grateful and blessed I am to be here,” she said.
