The NTA on Sunday released the NEET UG re-exam 2026 city intimation slip for candidates appearing in the re-examination scheduled on June 21. Registered candidates can check their allotted exam city by on the official website using their application number and password.

In a first for any national exam, the NEET UG 2026 re-exam question paper will be transported through air. The Centre has roped in Indian Air Force that will engage in transporting the papers for the re-exam scheduled on June 21. The move comes as authorities step up efforts to ensure secure and error free examination process unlike the controversies that emerged the first time.

The decision was announced by National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh after reviewing arrangements in a meeting with Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao. As per local sources, “He (Singh) stated that, for the first time, the Indian Air Force is being engaged to transport question papers, reflecting the importance being accorded to maintaining the integrity and security of the examination process.”

State Government Overseeing the Preparation

During the meeting, officials have been directed to conduce a fool poof arrangements to conduct the examination. Authorities have been instructed to work in close coordination with all concerned departments involved in conducting the exam. In Telangana alone, 73,000 students will appear for the re-exam at 208 centers across 24 cities.

Telangana police have also been tasked to be vigilant and maintain coordination with the district administration. Comprehensive security arrangement has been put in place for the day. Officials are also being warned against rumors mongering and the misinformation advising them to actively use social media platforms to promptly address fake information.

At the Central level, the CBI has been tasked to probe the matter. Several arrests including few involved in the paper setting have been nabbed.
