A man fell from the balcony of his house and was hurt while trying to get ice cream from a street vendor in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. The unusual incident, which was captured on CCTV, has since gone viral on social media.
The man was on the first floor balcony of his house, when he saw an ice cream shopper walking on the street below him, the reports said. He needed an ice-cream and he approached the vendor and ordered one. But he didn’t want to go down the steps and get the ice cream, instead, he told the vendor he wanted it to be brought up to him from the ground.
From the videos, it appears that the vendor lifted the ice cream upward, and the man bent down over the balcony rail to take it. While making this exchange, he is said to have lost his coordination and crashed, straight to the ground.
His family and neighbors were amazed by his fall and immediately came to his relief. He was then transported to a local hospital and injured parties are being treated at the hospital.
Police stated the man made it down and he is in “stable” condition. In response to the viral video, Sonbhadra Police said that the injured is being treated in hospital and the situation “is under control.
The police has said that it’s to be informed that the person who appeared in the viral video is injured; the situation in the hospital is normal and the issue of law and order is not involved.
The incident is a warning for caution when trying to reach out from balconies or other high surfaces.
