A bus carrying passengers lost control and overturned on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway near Shivpuri. Fortunately, no one was killed in the accident, but seven people were injured, including a woman from Uttar Pradesh.

Trying to close the window was difficult.

According to the District Disaster Management Officer, the bus was carrying 25 passengers, including the driver and conductor. All of them were returning to Haridwar after visiting the Badrinath shrine. A preliminary investigation revealed that a window suddenly opened, and while trying to close it, the driver became distracted and lost control of the vehicle. Consequently, the bus overturned in the middle of the road.

Muni Ki Reti police station and rescue teams arrived at the scene and began relief operations. Tanu Gupta, a resident of Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh, was injured in the accident. She was immediately taken to the government hospital in Rishikesh by the 108 ambulance service. Doctors say Tanu Gupta is currently out of danger, and all other passengers are safe.
