Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the creation of an additional District Magistrate (ADM) position in Padampur, Bargah district today. The appointment of a new ADM is expected to strengthen administration in the Padampur office area, address public grievances promptly, and accelerate development activities. Kunal Motiram Chauhan, a 2020 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the first ADM for Padampur. Currently serving as the Collector of Balasore, Chauhan’s transfer to this new role is detailed in a government notification.
The notification states, “Kunal Motiram Chauhan, IAS (RR 2020), Deputy Collector, Balasore, has been appointed as the additional District Magistrate of Padampur with additional charge of executive officer, Balasore Municipal Corporation.” The order will come into effect following the conclusion of the ban on transfers due to the special brief reassessment of the photo-affixed voter list.
