Vikramotsav 2026, under the administration of Maharaja Vikramaditya Research Institute, Madhya Pradesh Culture Department, has been honoured with the prestigious, ‘Government Event of the Year’ award in the Beta Awards 2026, which is another prestigious success being achieved in MP’s cultural field.

Hindustan 2.0 National Chintan Shivir and Expo, a part of International Convention of Event Industry, took place at which the award was announced at Dehradun. After the announcement, Beta Awards national team will come to Bhopal where the team will formally award the honour to Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav.

This is the third time in a year that the nation is being recognised for Vikramotsav 2026. Earlier the programme had been given the Gold Award for Cultural Live Event of the Year at the Show of India Conclave 2026 in New Delhi and the Silver Award for Best Government Participation in a Live Event.

Shriram Tiwari, Director, Maharaja Vikramaditya Research Institute says that Vikramotsav has become one of the world’s longest running cultural festivals. The festival was accompanied by large business events, which promoted a greater attendance of the public together with traditional cultural programmes.

It has been the dream of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for Vikramotsav to become a national celebration of India’s cultural heritage, to which Tiwari attributed. To promote history, culture, and innovation together, the festival symbolises Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Virasat Se Vikas’ (Heritage to Development), he added.

Vikramotsav 2026 has set a new standard for mass appreciation programs of the Government of India and continues to greaten Madhya Pradesh’s position as a main cultural hub of the country with its several government honours.
