As far as one of the landmark decisions in the sensational Twisha Sharma case is concerned, the police conducted a press meet on Saturday where the crucial development related to the investigation and detention of the deceased woman’s husband, Samarth Singh, were announced by the senior officials.
According to the official statements, the suspect who evaded arrest for around ten days after his wife’s mysterious death was finally arrested by the police force in the midnight of Friday. He would appear before the local court today.
It has been noted that the police authorities are determined to seek 7-days remand period to thoroughly interrogate the suspect under police custody. Some of the crucial details of the investigation include the following ones:
Expert Panel Dispatched: It has been reported that a medical panel from AIIMS Delhi would visit Bhopal for conducting a second post-mortem on the body.
Involvement of In-laws: It should be mentioned that the investigation now encompasses Singh’s in-laws.
According to the police, three summons have already been issued to the mother of Singh’s husband Giribala Singh, who has worked as a judicial officer in the past and been asked to participate in the investigation right away.
Governmental Interventions: As the situation becomes more grave day by day, the state government has suggested to conduct a CBI investigation into the murder and the Bar Council of India is considering the suspension of Samarth Singh’s license.
