A BJP MLA in MPs Shivpuri district landed in controversy after he refused to hear the grievances of villagers from a neighboring assembly constituency. He claimed they eere ‘not his voter’ therefore he woulw not address their issues.

A social media clip of agitated villagers has gone viral. In the clip, an angry villager is seen placing his toddler on the bonnet of the legistlators car in protest asking him to take their children along.

The incident took place during a Jan Chauoal organized by Karera MLA Ramesh Khatik at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Bhawan in Narwar tehsil on Thursday. Residents of Nanakpur and Barkhadi villages, which fall under the neighbouring Pohri Assembly constituency represented by CongressMLA Kailash Kushwah also attended the meeting with hopes to find a solution over water scarcity and erratic electric supply. On presenting their grievance the BJP MLA allegedly declined to hear the issue saying they belonged to the Pohri constituency said an eye witness.

“We have come to the government with our problems. You are a ruling party MLA. At least hear us, some villagers were heard saying in the video.

The exchange evolved in a brief commotion which was later resolved by police officials who arrived on site.
