Bhopal: Leading up to the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, there has been a surge of tensions sparked by a controversial letter that has caused quite a stir across the state’s political landscape. The letter, which originated from an association of contractors alleges a demand for a 50% commission. Has been sent to the Chief Justice of the High Court, raising doubts about its authenticity and the motives behind its creation.

The commotion began when Arun Yadav, an Union Minister and prominent figure within the Congress party took to Twitter on August 10th. He shared what appeared to be a letter from the “Small and Medium Category Contract Association ” dated July 25th, written by someone named Gyanendra Awasthi from Gwalior. In this correspondence addressed to the Chief Justice of the Gwalior High Court, Awasthi emphasizes the contractor’s requests for their pending payments to be released by the government in exchange for completed construction work. He urges that this matter be thoroughly investigated by the high court judge and ensures that necessary disbursements are made.

Amidst this unfolding drama VD Sharma, who serves as BJPs state president, responded firmly. He stated that legal actions would be pursued against Congress leaders regarding this letter while hinting at political motives behind it.

The current situation highlights the climate in Madhya Pradesh, especially with elections approaching. The arguments and rebuttals from both parties reveal a web of stories that will surely impact the landscape of the state.
