As the Madhya Pradesh BJP prepares to draw up a new roadmap for the upcoming three-month period, the party may witness several organisational changes in the coming months led by Biplab Kumar Deb as state in-charge.
Deb convened several meetings with senior party functionaries and leaders on his first organisational visit to Bhopal. The discussions concentrated on working more collaboratively in the organization, communicating with employees and communicating about differences within the organization. The party is also looking at its organisational structure in preparation for future political issues, reports said.
Biplab Deb Warns Against Factionalism
At the party meetings Deb reportedly told workers, party leaders that factionalism would not be tolerated in the party. He urged the leaders to settle their differences in discussion rather than invitation of differences.
Deb, according to reports, also pushed for closer coordination between leadership and action to be taken against leaders that make “controversial statements.” The party will also be dedicated to re-engaging inactive senior party leaders.
Deb’s message was that there can be differences within a democratic organisation, but internal discussion is the best way of dealing with these differences.
Simplicity Over Grand Welcomes
G. Deb also raised reservations about complex welcomes and cranes and JCBs in this regard. He said that party militants should refrain from such exhibitions and pay more attention to the grass roots party workers.
Don’t miss this unusual incident, where it is said a garland was made in the shape of a crane and flew in front of the BJP leader to welcome him in Madhya Pradesh, after the highlight of his arrival there.
The Government provides schemes instead of personal publicity.
Another key instruction was related to posters and banners. Deb urged the party functionaries to pay more attention to the scheme of the central and states government, instead of putting up big photographs of the leaders.
He also stressed the need to push government schemes to the grassroots level and make available the ones which are applicable to them.
The three-month organizational push is likely to impact BJP’s agenda in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the upcoming local and Assembly election in 2028.
