Maihar. A horrific road accident took place in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday morning. The school van overturned after its tyre burst. 10 children and the driver were injured. The condition of 4 is critical. They were sent to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa where they are being treated.
This incident happened in Podikhurd village of Tala police station area of the district. People present at the spot told that the van of SP Children Academy had just left for school when suddenly a tyre burst after a short distance. Due to which the vehicle lost its balance and it overturned on the side of the road. Local villagers present at the spot at the time of the incident took the children out of the vehicle and sent them to a nearby hospital.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the whole matter. In the initial investigation, the cause of the accident is said to be a tyre burst. Police said that four seriously injured children and the driver are being treated at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa, while the rest of the children have suffered minor injuries and have been given first aid.
