Bhopal: There has been a significant drop in the crime levels in the state of Madhya Pradesh, under the leadership of Dr. Mohan Yadav. The government has taken a number of steps to reduce crime, particularly against women, and various others such as robbery, dacoits, and many more. These efforts by the Mohan Government has shown the results which have been displayed with the help of a report given out by the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB).
The government undertook a series of surgeries to take down the crime levels in the state which has been visible from January 2024 to July 2024. Within 7 months, they were able to clamp down the levels to a great extent. The dacoity cases in the state have shown a 51% drop, murder cases have dropped by approximately 7%, and rape cases have also dropped by 10%.
Along with that, there was a 19.1% drop in the gang rape cases in the state. Comparing the total number of recorded crimes, it has declined by 3.53% to the numbers shown in the previous year at the same time. Crimes against women and children have also shown an overall decline of more than 21%.
The reports also indicated the decline of crimes against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. As compared to the number of crimes at the same time in the previous year, it has declined by 22.04%, which shows a massive success by the Mohan Government to clamp down the crime levels in Madhya Pradesh.
