Bhopal: Today, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan engaged in extensive discussions with all ministers and district administration officials via video conference to address the upcoming Vikas Parv. Vikas Parv, a developmental festival, is set to be celebrated in all districts of the state from July 16 to August 14, commencing in Barwani and Dhar districts. During this event, the Chief Minister will be spending nights in various districts.
In conjunction with the festival, a campaign will be launched from July 17 to 19, wherein CM Chouhan will interact with children as part of the School Chale campaign. The program will feature meetings with parents, motivational events, and engagement with local public representatives. Furthermore, on July 20, a laptop distribution program is scheduled for selected school students. Additionally, starting from July 25, five yatras will be organized across the state to facilitate the construction of the Sant Ravidas temple in Sagar district.
Several foundation stones have been laid, including those for the expansion of the Bina Refinery and the Ken Betwa Link Scheme. Furthermore, the inauguration of 7,245 irrigation projects worth Rs 15 crore, along with the foundation stone laying for 36,348 irrigation projects worth Rs 13 crore, have taken place. Additionally, 83 CM Rise Schools have been inaugurated, and foundation stones have been laid for newly approved medical colleges. Moreover, foundation stones for 21,900 works related to national and state highway and road construction, amounting to over Rs 1,207 crore, have been laid.
Under the AMRUT scheme, urban drinking water projects worth Rs 2 crore have been initiated, benefiting approximately 30,000 individuals. Around 400,000 beneficiaries are expected to receive home admissions under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Furthermore, the foundation stones for 10 new colleges and 28,471 group drinking water projects, valued at Rs 15,450 crore, under the Jal Jeevan Mission, will be laid.
CM Chouhan’s discussions and directives during Vikas Parv aim to drive comprehensive development and progress across the state, focusing on various sectors such as education, infrastructure, water management, and housing.
