Damoh: The people of Damoh, a small town in Madhya Pradesh, received the news of the dead body of a man who surfaced in the Sunar River at Surai Ghat with a shudder. Later, the police were informed of this incident, reached the spot, seized the body then formally started the investigation regarding the same.
Body Discovery
This case of a drowned victim was, however, found on the Surai Ghat by the side of the Sunar River, where people of the area caught sight of a corpse floating in the water. They reported the incident to the police, who cordoned off the area while they took the body for post-mortem examination. The deceased was found to be 43 years Mukesh Patel, son of Avadh Patel of Sanjay Ward, Hatta.
According to the source, Mukesh Patel had been missing since the previous afternoon. His family had reported him to the police following several hours that he did not come back from riding a motorcycle. Earlier on the same day, the police had lodged a missing person complaint. It was shortly after that that they were to get a horrifying message about the dead body being found in the river.
Investigation
On investigation, it was revealed that Mukesh was a motorcycle owner, and the police recovered his motorcycle near the place where he was found dead. It’s claimed that Mukesh had ridden his bike from his home the previous day in the afternoon. When he failed to come home, his family tried to locate him, but after the failure, they reported the case to the police. The missing person report was then made and followed by the unpleasant find.
At this point, however, the precise reason for Mukesh Patel’s death has not been ascertained. The police are hounding on the cause of death of this man up to the present day. The authorities are investigating the different scenarios, such as homicide, suicide, and other forms of manslaughter, and by chance, the man drowned. Details regarding the post-mortem are also expected to give a clear picture of the cause of death.
