Ujjain: Recently, Bihar Governor Rajendra Arlekar and Delhi former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited Ujjain to offer puja at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple. Blessed with the fame of being one of the most sought-after pilgrim centers, the temple receives monthly offerings from hundreds of devotees along with many VVIPs. In this regard, the distinguished leaders performed Bhasma Aarti and prayed to Lord Mahaka,l sitting in Nandi Hall.
Later at the darshan, Bihar Governor Rajendra Arlekar happily said this to me: He also praises cleanliness and effective management of the temple. He said, ‘Blessed is the one who got a chance to visit Lord Mahakal.’ While cleanliness is often a problem in so many other temples, Mahakaleshwar Temple is very clean, providing devotees with a very sacred and hygienically clean environment for worship.
Even Manish Sisodia chimed in about the spiritual experience, stating it was ‘Shivamay’, meaning it was a sort of rejoicing in the Lord Shiva himself. He also praised the management and service of the temple and said, “The organization here is so marvelous, and these people serving here are very devoted. All the people here represent Lord Shiva. I bow to them with respect.”
The Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple deserves its mention in theology and mythology: the temple attracts people from all over the world. Bhasma Aarti is perhaps the most prominent among the pujas that happen in the temple and has to be seen to be believed at least once by almost everyone who visits the temple.
The presence of such personalities, therefore, brings into focus not only the religious significance of the temple but more so, the commendable measures being observed by the management in the staging of the temple to offer its intending visitors a satisfying, fulfilling experience. The two leaders retired from the temple with a moved spirit, and the following statements were manifestations of the tempo of this spiritual role.
