Madhya Pradesh is poised to see a significant investment offer in the textile industry, with Bhilosa Industries proposing a project that will see ₹7,500 crore invested in the state and generate approximately 3,750 direct employment opportunities.

The opportunity was discussed at a high-level interactive investment session, which was held with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at The St. Regis hotel in Mumbai and Bhilosa Industries Managing Director Sandeep Jain.

The proposal indicates that the company will set up its textile manufacturing facility in Dhar at PM MITRA Park in the city. The company is currently searching and purchasing approximately 300 acres of land; 200 acres for textile production and 100 acres to promote units.

The company will kick off the project with an initial investment of ₹2,500 crore and later strive to step-up investment to ₹7,500 crore. The production is projected to start from 2028 onwards.

The project is expected to establish a connected and integrated polyester ecosystem along Dhar-Indore belt areas. It will cover the producing of polyester yarn, fibre, knitted fabric and non-garment fabrics using man-made fibres. The development might also help expand opportunities for micro and small ancillary units associated to the textile value chain.

Out of the seven PM MITRA Parks approved by Centre for the establishment of integrated textile manufacturing hubs, the Dhar PM MITRA Park is one. The Ministry of Textiles Dhar park is a greenfield project and PM MITRA Parks aim to support the entire textile value chain with modern infrastructure and Logistic facilities, it says.

Yadav added that the Dhar park provides “facility and logistic infrastructure” ideal for textile units and stated that it will provide assistance to investors through policy support and facilitation. It is suggested that the Bhilosa project will not only improve the textile manufacturing capability of MP, but also set the foundation for a strong export scenario of the industrial economy.
