Bhopal. A notification has been issued for the Bhopal Metropolitan Region, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. 2,510 villages from six districts will be included in the metropolitan area. These include Bhopal, Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, Rajgarh, and Narmadapuram.

Half a dozen surrounding districts will be included

The area will be 12,098, or approximately 13,000 square kilometers. This includes 50% of Sehore and 7% of Narmadapuram. This includes 599 villages from Sehore, 527 from Bhopal, 408 from Raisen, 191 from Vidisha, and 87 from Narmadapuram. This area will not be limited to Bhopal district, but will also include half a dozen surrounding districts.

The rules will be notified in May.

The Metropolitan Municipality’s rules have been finalized and sent to the Law Department. After receiving legal approval, they will be notified. The rules will be notified in May, and a committee will be formed.
