A man was shot dead in a ‘Burger King’ outlet in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden late Tuesday evening by three unidentified assailants, police said. They said the man received multiple gunshot wounds in the attack that took place in the J Block area.
He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead, police said, adding that senior officials were at the spot.
“We received a call at around 9.45 pm from Rajouri Garden. The beat officers responded and went to the spot. Later, special teams were mobilised,” said senior police officer Vichitra Veer.
“We are trying to establish the identities of the three shooters.” Security footage is being scanned to identify the men. The police also question the manager and staff of the Burger King outlet.
Reports suggested that the shooting followed an argument between two groups. A Mercedes car parked near the outlet is also being traced. The police are investigating whether it was linked to the attackers.
Officers and the police’s crime team inspected the spot. Police teams have been formed to gather information. Police were checking CCTV footage to identify the accused, the official added.
