An important update has been issued for Delhi Metro passengers. DMRC has issued an advisory regarding Madhuban Chowk Metro Station on the Red Line. According to DMRC, Gate No. 2 and Lift No. 3 (towards R Cube Mall) at Madhuban Chowk station will be temporarily closed from May 1 to May 15, 2026. This decision has been taken due to the ongoing connectivity construction work between Line 1 (Red Line) and Line 8 (Magenta Line). For the convenience of passengers, DMRC has advised them to use Gate No. 1, 3 and 4 and Lift No. 4 for commuting to and from the station to avoid any inconvenience.
An advisory has been issued asking passengers travelling during peak hours to allow extra time. According to the DMRC, the use of alternate gates may increase the crowd at Madhuban Chowk station, hence passengers are advised to keep 5 to 10 minutes extra time to reach their destination. This arrangement has been made due to the ongoing construction work at Madhuban Chowk station on the Red Line, where some gates and lifts have been temporarily closed. Meanwhile, network expansion work is also underway under Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro. Under this, connectivity is being strengthened between the Red Line (Delhi Metro) (Rithala–Shaheed Sthal) and Magenta Line (Delhi Metro) (Janakpuri West–Botanical Garden).
On April 29, the DMRC informed on its official X handle that train services between Kalkaji Mandir and Botanical Garden stations on the Magenta Line were affected, causing delays. However, shortly after, the DMRC issued another update stating that the technical issue had been rectified and metro services on the section were back to normal. According to officials, passengers faced temporary inconvenience during the incident, but the situation was quickly brought under control.
Services on this line were affected on April 19.
Services on the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line were briefly affected on the morning of April 19 due to scheduled track maintenance work. According to the DMRC, the maintenance work was carried out between Indraprastha and Supreme Court stations on the Blue Line, due to which there was a slight delay in metro operations during the morning hours. This temporary impact also slightly affected the operations of other lines, especially Line 3 and Line 4, and affected the speed of some trains. However, the DMRC clarified that keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, there was no change in the timings of the first trains from Dwarka to Noida Electronic City, Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida Electronic City and Vaishali.
