Light rainfall graced Delhi early in the morning on Tuesday, with slight intermittent drizzles to continue throughout the day attributed to the fresh western disturbance, according to the India Meteorological Department.

The rainfall is likely to disappear on Wednesday, February 5, with increasing levels of fog to be expected in the national capital. Dense fog conditions still continue in isolated parts of the city. The IMD has also noted the possibility of a thunderstorm on Tuesday.

India Meteorological Department issued a weather forecast for the Delhi Legislative Assembly election day on February 5, 2025.

As per the IMD forecast, the maximum and the minimum temperatures would be around 21 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively on Tuesday. Delhi-NCR is also likely to see smog/shallow fog. In a bulletin, the IMD said a few more spells of light rain accompanied by thunderstorms could follow the morning drizzle. However, at night, smog/mist will prevail. Owing to the light rainfall forecast, a yellow alert has been issued.

There has been a fall in the minimum temperature by 1-2 degrees Celsius over Delhi/NCR over the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature on Monday was 24.4 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are in the range of 20 to 23 degrees Celsius and 9 to 10 degrees Celsius, respectively. The minimum temperatures are above normal up to 2 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature is below normal up to 1-2 degrees Celsius in most places.
