New Delhi: A frightening spate of crime has hit the national capital in the last 24 hours. In one day, five brutal murders have been committed – two double murders at different places in Delhi. This has raised an alarm among people regarding the state of law and order prevailing in the national capital city. One of the worst incidents took place in the Southeast part of Delhi at Govindpuri locality.
A woman Sharda and her 14-year-old son Khushal were found murdered inside their house. The murder case was discovered by the husband of the woman who sells vegetables and comes back from the weekly markets in Delhi. The man was shocked after finding his wife and son dead in their blood at home. The investigation in the murder case indicates robbery, which is evident by cash worth around ₹10–12 lakh and some gold and silver jewelry stolen from the house. At the same time, a serious incident of violence took place in Aman Vihar locality, Rohini district.
The combination of these tragic events along with yet another lethal attack has put the local population into a state of great fear and immense anxiety. With the abrupt increase in both day-time and night-time blood baths, there is a palpable level of insecurity among the common people. As a result, the Delhi Police force has gone into a highly alert state. Various teams have been formed to solve the mystery, and boundaries of each district are being strictly monitored. The detectives are making use of all the CCTV footage available to trace the guilty ones.
