New Delhi: Rekha Gupta Government is continuously in action mode regarding air pollution in Delhi. It is taking rapid decisions to reduce the level of pollution in Delhi. In this sequence, 6 illegal factories spreading pollution in Delhi have been sealed. Delhi MCD launched a major campaign against illegal factories spreading pollution in Saboli area and sealed six factories. The action was taken by the team of Delhi Pollution Control Committee, Municipal Corporation.
Giving details of the sealing of six illegal factories, Municipal Commissioner Mamta Yadav said that complaints had been received for a long time regarding smoke, chemical odors, and waste emanating from factories in the area. Following this, the inspection campaign was launched.
Corporation Commissioner Mamta Yadav further stated that during the inspection, several factories were found to be violating pollution control standards. Some factories were operating without permission and were not complying with environmental regulations. The team sealed the factories with immediate effect after finding irregularities. A heavy police force was deployed to maintain law and order during the operation.
According to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the campaign against illegally operating and polluting factories will continue. Officials have also appealed to the public to inform the administration about such factories operating in their vicinity.
