CM Vishnu Deo Sai hits back at AAP, defends Chhattisgarh’s development under BJP government
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has responded to allegation of interference in state government by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh while covering the cabinet’s performance.
Before stepping down for various programmes in his Kunkuri assembly constituency, CM Sai informed the media that BJP’s ‘double-engine’ government has seen Chhattisgarh develop even in just two and a half years.
In reply to Sanjay Singh’s comments Sai said his government is fulfilling the commitments given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He drew attention to the construction of 18 lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and support given to over 70 lakh women under various welfare schemes of the Government.
The Chief Minister announced that development was happening in various fields of the state and assured the people that his government was doing its duty to meet its obligations.
Sai Praises Modi Government’s Development
Sai backed the Modi government and pointed out that the country’s development could be seen in all sectors since the last 12 years, coming after former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal lambasted the price of energy-saving E20 petrol.
He had talked of the Government’s slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” and India had achieved a lot in its economic development.
Sai further said that India has risen to the fourth position from being 10th globally, 12 years ago. The world is seeing India moving towards building a “new India”, he said, a process that was witnessed by people worldwide.
Sai Welcomes Foreign Contribution Bill
The Chief Minister in his remarks on the proposed introduction of Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026 in Parliament, expressed his approval of the Bill and announced that the legislation would serve the welfare of the Nation.
‘Congress Has No Issue’
The Congress was challenging the raising of the national flag on many occasions for the first time in several villages of Bastar and saying that the party was running out of issues, Sai added.
Bastar was still plagued by Naxal activities for over four decades and the tricolour would now be hoisted in over 90 villages, he said.
The development was a major turnaround in regions where the Naxal movement had been raging for some time and was termed as an example of enhanced ‘security and government presence’, by Sai.
