Raipur: During the last two days of his three-day visit to Chhattisgarh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday inaugurated the Narcotics Control Bureau’s regional office in the state capital, Raipur. He also had a chance to talk to Dr Raman Singh, the former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and the current Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. In an update on the courtesy meeting with Shah, Dr. Singh turned to Social Media platform X (previously known as Twitter) to share pictures.

Dr. Singh’s social media post read: “Today I got an opportunity to host Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji in Raipur. We had serious political and other talks. We discussed all issues, including the issues concerning Chhattisgarh, as I wanted to discuss them with him.”

Amit Shah’s visit also entailed a ceremony for the opening of the new regional office of NBC, which is a major measure towards better drug control and enforcement. This move corresponds with the ongoing fresh upsurge by the central government to phase up anti-narcotics operations throughout the country.

From the discussion held during the meeting between Dr. Singh and Shah, it was possible to tackle many issues that concern the state as well as the nation in general.
