Raipur: In a press statement, former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has urged voters to cast their ballots with 100% participation on November 17. He emphasized the changing dynamics in Chhattisgarh and confidently declared the BJP’s lead in the first phase on 14 seats. Dr. Singh anticipates forming a government with a substantial majority in the second phase.

Accusing the Congress during the press conference, he criticized their promises, citing the breach of commitments made in 2018, such as the assurance of liquor prohibition and the pledge to provide Rs 6,000 annually to women, which has now been increased to Rs 15,000. Dr. Raman Singh accused the Congress of misleading women and pledged that the BJP would diligently implement essential schemes.

He outlined key priorities after the first cabinet meeting, including the initiation of the process to allocate 18 lakh houses, an investigation into the PDS (Public Distribution System) cases, and recruitment through the PSC (Public Service Commission) similar to the UPSC model.

Addressing the agricultural sector, Dr. Singh promised to start fulfilling promises made to farmers by depositing a two-year bonus directly into their accounts. He emphasized regularizing the position of Panchayat Secretaries and ensuring timely payment of salaries to all employees by the 15th of each month. Furthermore, he highlighted the accelerated pace of development in Raipur, asserting that the infrastructural focus would continue with increased momentum in the first five years.

Responding to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s tweet, Dr. Raman Singh dismissed concerns about Baghel’s actions, alleging that the Chief Minister involved in a Rs 15,000 crore scam is pointing fingers at neighbors. Confident about BJP’s victory, Dr. Singh stated that all surveys indicate the BJP’s return to power with a clear majority. He assured swift decisions on the MahaTaree Vandan Yojana, indicating that it would be discussed in the first cabinet meeting.
