Jagdalpur: During his visit to Jagdalpur on Saturday, Saurabh Prasad, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Waltair Railway Division, conducted an inspection of the Jagdalpur Railway Station. While inspecting the station, DRM Prasad assessed the progress of the station’s development under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme and provided essential directives.
It is noteworthy that Jagdalpur Railway Station is undergoing an upgrade with a budget of 17 crore rupees. The focus of the plan is not only on modernizing the stations but also on expanding passenger facilities. During this inspection, DRM Saurabh Prasad engaged with the media, highlighting the positive impact of the additional security measures being implemented in the Bastar region. He mentioned that work on the railway line doubling and the completion of the bridge in Bhansi are nearing completion.
On this occasion, members of the Bastar Rail Andolan also met with DRM Prasad, urging him to initiate efforts to introduce new trains, restart discontinued trains, and enhance other railway facilities in Bastar. Assuring the members, DRM Prasad expressed the railway’s commitment to improving facilities in Bastar and mentioned ongoing efforts to increase security.
